California Latino Gang Embarks On Genocide? (The Camad Hembree Chronicles)
July 22nd, 2009
Hawaiian Gardens, CA- Federal authorities cracked down on a Southern California Latino street gang for trying to engage in genocide against African Americans living in their community.
According to television network, MSNBC, a total of 150 members of Latino gangs have been indicted on an array of charges including weapons possession, kidnapping, drug trafficking and murder.
With one situation that included a Latino gang induced shooting within the household of African Americans, the racial tensions are at an all time high between these two groups.
Similar to this scenario is the plot in the Clint Eastwood starred movie, ‘Gran Torino.’ Federal authorities believe that this gang has aligned themselves with the Aryan Nation Brotherhood.
The city of Hawaii Gardens, CA is a small town with a small population, but it is stated that 4% of the population is connected with a gang. The sting, in which the Latino gang was formally indicted, was called ‘Operation Lock Out’ which was very official take down.
This story is interesting because it occurs at a time when Latino and Black people are projected to be the majority ethnic group in the country over next 20 years.
It’s almost out of self-hatred and fear that these two groups are trying to annihilate each other and that can’t happen. California has a large gang problem especially within Latino communities with groups like: the Mexican Mafia, Nuestra Familia and MS-13.
I hope that a sense of peace is restored between these two groups because both are really in the same predicament as far as economic opportunities. Both racial have made significant amount of progress to be drawn back to this type of mentality.
